The Life Ionizer Scale Cleaning Cartridge is a one time use cleaning cartridge, containing a proprietary citric acid cleaning compound. It will clean the plates and chamber inside your LIFE ionizer. Made exclusively for LIFE Ionizers models LIFE 7500, LIFE 7600, LIFE 8000, and LIFE 8100; the Life Scale Cleaning filter will eliminate most scale build up on the plates and inside the chamber of your ionizer allowing for longer life and better performance. This is a great investment for your machine and will help your machine work like new over the life of your machine.
LIFE Ionizer Cleaning Filter- Directions for Use
Your Cleaning Filter is designed to reduce scale build up on the plates and chamber inside your ionizer. It is recommended you clean your ionizer once every 6 months with a LIFE Ionizer Cleaning Filter.For the LIFE 7500 & LIFE 7600
Take the white plug that comes with the Cleaning Filter and place it onto the waste water tubing (acid output tube) extending into your sink to stop the acidic water from leaving the ionizer.For the LIFE 8000 & LIFE 8100
Locate the ¼” tubing coming from the ‘ACID’ output on the top of the ionizer. Disconnect this tubing from the grey quick connect adapter that is located on the tubing leading to the ionizer tower faucet. Then place the white plug that comes with the Cleaning Filter into the tubing to stop the acidic water from leaving the ionizer.Instructions continued for both units:
1) On the back of ionizer- open the filter cover on the right side and take out the filter labeled BioFilter 2. Remove the filter by using your thumb to turn the large screw at the top of the filter counter clock wise. Remove the filter.
2) Insert the cleaning filter cartridge and tighten the large screw at the top by turning it clockwise. Make sure the grommets at the bottom of the filter fit securely into the ionizer.
3) Run the Purify Mode for 20 seconds. Shut the ionizer off and let it sit for a minimum of 2 to 3 hours, preferably overnight.
4) Turn the ionizer on in Purify Mode and run the water for 10 minutes.
5) Remove cleaning filter cartridge and reinstall the Bio Filter 2.
6) Take the plug out of the ¼” tubing (7500) or (8000). On the 8000 replace ¼” tubing into the grey quick connect adapter.
