Vitamin B1 may also help the body cope with stress and support the immune system. Vitamin B1 may be reduced by certain medications. Vitamin B1 (Thiamin) is the vitamin nutritionists use to help the body in its metabolic functions. This vitamin is often depleted from the system by consuming alcoholic beverages.
