The Berkey Light is made from BPA-free food
grade high-quality co-polyester, the Berkey Light holds 2.75
Gallons of purified water. This system is designed to be a
lightweight lower cost alternative to the Stainless Steel Berkey
systems. The Berkey Light is recommended for small to medium
sized families of 2-6 people.
A great features of the system is the
ability to always see how much water is in the upper and lower
chambers! The Berkey Light comes with a 6" base and can be used
with 2-4 Black Berkey Filters.

The Berkey Light can be used anywhere. It was originally
designed to be a lower-cost, lightweight, portable alternative
to our stainless steel units. Weighing in at a mere seven
pounds, it can provide enough water for groups of up to 20
people - in emergencies. The Berkey Light requires no water
pressure and no electricity and can provide pure drinking water
from almost any source, making it ideal for outdoor and
emergency use. The filters outperform our competitors'
microfiltration capabilities by removing 99.99% of viruses and
bacteria — among many other contaminants such as chlorine and
lead — without having to add harsh chemicals or waste any water.
The Berkey Light's see-through aspect makes it easier to quickly
and accurately determine how much water is in the upper and
lower chambers. The six-inch elevated base allows you to place a
drinking water glass under the spigot without having to place
the unit on the edge of the counter. The BPA-free copolyester
material is extremely durable, making it dent- and
shatter-proof. Water from the Berkey Light is produced at the
same quality and quantity as the stainless steel models at a
more economical price.

Black Berkey Filters

The Big Berkey comes with two Black Berkey Filters that
are installed in the top chamber. The Big has a four
filter maximum in the top chamber.

Fluoride Filters
(Add-on)
These filters are not included but can be purchased
separately. They attach to the black filters and hang in
the lower chamber while reducing fluoride by up to 97%.
Spigot (Included)
The Light Spigot is made of FDA-approved BPA-free
polypropylene.
