CRYSTAL QUEST® Eagle® Full-Size Whole House Water Filter
provides you with pristine great tasting water through
every faucet in your home. They represents the most
robust whole house water system we have ever seen. It removes hundreds of
contaminants from 750,000 and 1000,000 gallons** of
water. This is incredible. These systems are work
horses. Great for home, apartment or office use.
Technologies Employed
CRYSTAL QUEST® Eagle® Full-Size
Whole House Water Filte incorporates a
host of the most advanced filtration methods in one
system. Technologies such as rovides you wit
Stage 1: Sediment Filter: water flows through a 20" sediment filter
cartridge that removes sediment, silt, sand and dirt. Also
extends the life of the water filter and prevents damage.
Stages 2 and 4: Oxidation
Reduction water flows through 2 beds of Redox
(Oxidation/reduction process) media made of a special
high-purity alloy blend of two dissimilar metals - copper
and zinc. Representing a new and unique way of water
processing medium which by its natural process of
electrochemical oxidation/reduction and adsorption action
reduces and/or remove many unwanted contaminants from water.
It is a major advancement in water treatment technology that
works on electro-chemical and
spontaneous-oxidation-reduction (Eagle Redox Alloy®)
principles. Chlorine is instantaneously and almost
inexhaustibly oxidized. Iron and hydrogen sulfide are oxidized into insoluble matter
and attaches to the surface of the media. Heavy metals such
as lead, mercury, copper, nickel, chromium, cadmium,
aluminum, and other dissolved metals are also removed from
the water by this natural process of electrochemical
process. They are attracted to the surface of the media,
much like a magnet. The media inhibits bacterial growth
throughout the entire unit.
Stage 3: Harmful Heavy Metal Removal
Water flows through the ion exchange resin,
reducing heavy metals such as lead, copper, aluminum, and
water hardness.
Stage 5: Granulated Activated
Carbon water passes through granulated activated carbon
(GAC). GAC is universally recognized and widely used as an
effective adsorbent for a wide variety of organic
contaminants, such as chlorine (99.9%), chemicals linked to
cancer (THM's, benzene), pesticides, herbicides,
insecticides, volatile organic compounds (VOC's), PCB's,
MTBE's and hundreds of other chemical contaminants that may
be present in water, bad taste, and odors from your drinking
water.
Stage 6 and 7:
Infrared Mineral Balls Water travels through a special blend of
natural Infra-Red and mineral balls. Infra-Red rays are the invisible portion of the sunlight
spectrum that has been found to promote growth and health to
living cells in plants, animals, and humans. By using a far
infrared water filtration system, some have estimated an
enrichment of treated water that somehow strengthens various
organs within our bodies.
Stage 8 and 9:
Alkaline Mineral: water travels through special blend of
natural calcium carbonate medias which will alkalize/ionize
and remineralizes water and raise the pH level of your
water. It reduces acidity in the body and will produce
natural calcium, magnesium, sodium and potassium ions that
can be absorbed 100% in the human body. These Essential
Minerals are vital to our organs. These are the symptoms
when lacking essential minerals: Fatigue, Insomnia, Loss of
Hair, Depression, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Asthma,
Decayed Teeth, PMS. Migraines, Heart Disease.
BENEFITS
-
Produces large quantities of hydrogen and oxygen
-
Produces Alkali Calcium Ionized Water
-
Provides more energy and increases the metabolic process.
-
Prevents Reproduction of Germs and Virus
-
Reverses aging, due to reduction of acid wastes
-
Activates water molecules in our body
-
Helps the body dissolve wastes and makes it easier to
dispose them safely
Stage 10: Gravel Bed,
water travels
through bed of gravel. It provides backwashing support &
polishes off the water.
Stage 11 and 12:
Magnetize: water flows through two powerful magnet
(greater than 12,000 gauss) creates magnetic field in filter
for magnetic resonance activation of the water. This process
lowers surface tension, increases solubility and increases absorptivity. This process also alter the physical
characteristics of water-borne minerals so they don’t cling
to pipes or equipment surfaces. It also controls lime/scale
build-up plumbing corrosion protection.
Stage 13:
Carbon Block Filter,
water flows through a 20" solid carbon
cartridge for removing volatile organic carbon compounds (VOC's,
insecticides, pesticides and industrial solvents).*
Stage 14:
Ultrafiltration
water passes through a 0.2 micron Ultrafiltration (UF) membrane. Ultrafiltration (UF) is an
important purification technology used for the production of
high-purity water. UF is effective for the removal of
colloids, proteins, bacteria, viruses, parasites, protozoa
and pyrogens (e.g., gram-negative bacterial endotoxins),
other organic molecules larger than .01 micron, and most
other water contaminants known today.

If present in
your water.
** Varies with condition and amount of water
consumption.
***
These rates and the drop in the flow will vary depending on
the GPM and psi of the feed water.
-
Turn off the water to the unit.
-
Disconnect the unit from your plumbing.
-
Carefully unscrew the valve off the top of the tank.
-
Inside of your tank is plastic tubing known as the “riser
tube”. The riser tube sucks up the water from the bottom of
the tank during normal operation, and forces water to the
bottom of the tank during the backwash operation. After
removing the control valve from the tank, remove the riser
tube from inside the mineral tank.
-
Lay the tank on its side, or lay over trash can, to remove
media.
-
Rinse the inside of the tank clean with a garden hose.
-
Discard old resin.
-
Save old gravel.
-
Make sure your media tank is standing straight up.
-
Put a piece of tape over the top of the riser tube to
prevent media from entering the tube while you are loading
the media.
-
Put the media funnel included with your system in the top of
the media tank with the riser tube still inside and
centered.
-
The gravel goes into the tank first. When pouring in the
gravel, make sure the riser
tube is firmly on the bottom of the tank. Once you add your
media, if the riser tube
is pulled out of the gravel, it is impossible to put it back
in without removing the
other media from the tank.
-
Pour the resin/media into the funnel, slowly letting it fall
down inside the media
tank around the riser tube. If you have a twin alternating
system, divide the
resin/media equally between the two tanks.
-
When you have poured all of the resin/media into the media
tank, it should be
approximately 3/4 full.
-
Remove the funnel and then the tape from the top of the
riser tube.
-
Brush any loose resin/media off the top opening of the tank.
Clean the top edge
with a cloth so the O-ring can seal securely to the valve
base.
-
Look at the bottom of your control valve and you will see an
upper basket Inside of the basket, the valve has O-rings
that will seal on the riser tube. Tilt the valve over on top
of the media tank making sure the top of the riser tube
inserts inside the opening of the upper basket. Guide the
riser into the O-ring seal and tighten gently.
-
Screw the valve back onto the top of the tank.
-
Reconnect your plumbing to your unit. Turn the water to the
unit on and check for leaks.
-
Leave all faucets turned off inside the house, and open a
single faucet (such as an outside faucet) letting the water
run for 3-5 minutes. This rinses the new resin/media off
inside the tank, and any particles or color will rinse out
through the one open faucet, and not throughout your home
plumbing system.
